Description
Product Introduction
This PANELOK T-nut produced by VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL is an American standard high-strength specialized fastener designed specifically for panel components
Core parameters: Adopting the American made UNC coarse thread system, with a nominal diameter of 7.9mm (5/16 inch) and a screw fitting length of 12.7mm, the overall material is steel, and the surface is treated with galvanized rust prevention, which has excellent corrosion resistance and structural strength.
Structural characteristics: The nut head adopts a large-diameter wide edge flange design, which can increase the contact area with the panel, disperse the fastening pressure, and avoid local compression deformation of the panel; The drive end adopts a Torx T55 plum blossom inner hole structure. Compared with ordinary hexagonal drive, it has a more uniform force distribution, and is less prone to slipping or tooth slippage when applying force. It can transmit greater locking torque and is compatible with specialized T55 plum blossom tools, greatly improving the operational efficiency of panel assembly.
It is widely used in screening equipment panels, industrial chassis panels, sheet metal components and other scenarios. Compared with ordinary T-nuts, its large flange surface and plum blossom drive design are more suitable for panel fastening requirements that require large contact area and high locking reliability.
🛠️ Usage
Preparation in advance
Confirm that the pre opening size of the panel to be installed is compatible with the 5/16 inch specification, prepare the corresponding 5/16 “UNC American coarse thread bolts and T55 specification plum blossom drive tools, clean the dust and oil around the opening in advance, ensure that the installation contact surface is clean and dry, check that the nut thread is free of burrs and deformation, and that the flange surface is not bumped or damaged.
Installation operation
Align the T-shaped column of the nut with the opening from the outside of the panel and insert it. The large flange will naturally adhere to the surface of the panel. Align the matching bolts from the other side of the panel and manually pre tighten them. After confirming smooth thread engagement, use the T55 plum blossom tool to insert it into the plum blossom drive hole at the head of the nut, evenly apply force to lock it, and keep the direction of force and screw axis perpendicular to the surface of the panel until the flange is completely pressed against the panel contact surface. There is no need to overtighten to avoid panel deformation under pressure.
Precautions
This nut is of the American standard UNC 5/16-18 specification and should not be mixed with bolts of similar diameters such as metric M8, otherwise there may be problems such as thread misalignment, slipping, and even connection failure; Priority should be given to using standard T55 plum blossom tools during installation to avoid using unsuitable substitute tools and prevent the drive hole from being twisted and slipping, which may affect subsequent disassembly and maintenance.
