Description
Product Introduction
This VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL 73 ASPL 6-10 cracked round head aluminum steel pop core rivet is a special structure multi claw single-sided riveted fastener:
Core parameters: The nominal diameter of the rivet is 4.8mm, the length of the rivet body is 21mm, and the maximum compatible total thickness of the riveted workpiece is 15mm. The rivet body is made of aluminum alloy material, and the nail core is made of steel material, balancing lightweight and high-strength connection performance.
Structural advantage: It belongs to the flowering type core pulling rivet. During the riveting process, the rivet body will crack uniformly into a multi claw shape under the action of tension, forming a large area of support structure on the back of the workpiece. Unlike ordinary rivets, there will be no local stress concentration on the back of the thin plate causing dents or deformation problems. It is especially suitable for brittle or thin-walled workpieces such as plastics, thin metal plates, and wooden boards that are prone to deformation. After riveting, the connection is firm and not easy to loosen, and the seismic performance is excellent.
Applicable scenarios: Riveting operations can be completed from only one side of the workpiece, widely used in automotive door panel interior fixation, gift wine box packaging, home appliance shell assembly, lightweight board splicing and other scenarios. It is particularly suitable for special riveting needs where it is inconvenient to operate from the back of the workpiece and the workpiece material is soft and easy to be pulled through by ordinary rivets.
🛠️ Usage
preliminary preparation
Drill a fitting through-hole with a diameter of approximately 4.9mm on the workpiece to be riveted based on the nominal diameter of the rivet of 4.8mm. Clean the burrs and debris in the hole, tightly fit and fix the workpiece to be connected, eliminate all gaps between the workpieces, and ensure that the total stack thickness does not exceed the maximum clamping range of 15mm.
Clamping and debugging
Choose a manual, electric, or pneumatic riveting gun that is compatible with 4.8mm rivets, replace the corresponding nozzle size, fully insert the rivet core into the nozzle of the riveting gun, and then insert the rivet body into the pre drilled through-hole of the workpiece, keeping the rivet perpendicular to the workpiece surface.
Riveting operation
Start the riveting gun to smoothly pull the nail core, and the rivet body gradually cracks into a uniform multi claw structure under tension. Spread it evenly on the back of the workpiece to form a large contact surface support, firmly clamping the workpieces on both sides; When the tension reaches the set threshold, the nail core will break neatly at the preset neck position, completing the riveting operation.
Closing inspection
After riveting, check whether the rivet head is completely attached to the surface of the workpiece, confirm that the cracked claw on the back is evenly formed, there is no deformation of the workpiece caused by local stress pulling, and the connection is not loose; When storing rivets for a long time, moisture-proof protection should be taken to avoid rusting of the aluminum alloy rivet body and steel nail core, which may affect the riveting performance.
