Description

Product Introduction
This VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL produced Pilot Pins, also known as positioning guide pins, is a high-precision positioning guide accessory commonly used in the industrial processing field
Structural characteristics: The overall structure is made of high hardness stainless steel material and processed into one piece, with a smooth and burr free surface and excellent rust prevention performance. One end is designed with a pointed cone positioning, and the other end is designed with a limit step structure. The coaxiality accuracy is high, and it is not easy to bend or deform after being subjected to force.
Core application: It is mainly used for pre positioning before drilling and punching operations, and can also serve as a reference pin for fixture alignment. It can accurately lock the machining point, avoid drill bit displacement and slippage, greatly improve the positional accuracy of workpiece processing, and widely adapt to various work scenarios that require precise alignment, such as hardware molds, sheet metal processing, woodworking drilling, etc.
🛠️ Usage
Preparatory work
Mark precise machining points on the surface of the workpiece in advance, clean up debris and protrusions on the surface of the workpiece, confirm that the tip of the guide pin is free of curled edges and defects, and ensure that the positioning surface is flat and clean.
Alignment fixation
Align the pointed end of the guide pin with the pre marked point, use fixtures or tap lightly to embed the tip of the guide pin into the surface of the workpiece to complete the pre positioning. Control the embedding depth by relying on the limit step at the tail to ensure that the guide pin and the workpiece surface remain perpendicular and do not tilt or shift.
Guided homework
Using the pre positioned guide pin as a reference, insert the center positioning hole of the corresponding drill bit and drilling tool onto the guide pin, start the machining equipment, and complete the drilling/drilling operation along the guide trajectory of the guide pin. This can avoid tool deviation throughout the process and ensure that the machined hole position is completely aligned with the preset point position.
Closing operation
After processing, use the matching tool to remove the guide pin from the workpiece, clean the machining debris on the surface of the guide pin, confirm that the guide pin is not worn or deformed, and store it in a dry environment to avoid long-term moisture and rust affecting subsequent positioning accuracy.
