Description
Core parameters: nominal diameter 6.4mm, compatible riveting total thickness up to 10mm, overall made of galvanized steel material, surface treated with anti rust hardening, mechanical properties far exceeding ordinary bolts and conventional rivets, excellent tensile and shear resistance.
Performance characteristics: It belongs to the category of permanent locking fasteners, which can form a rigid connection without gaps when used with matching locking rings. It has strong anti vibration and anti loosening capabilities, high riveting consistency, and completely avoids the problem of loosening and failure of ordinary threaded connections after long-term use.
Applicable scenarios: Widely used in fastening scenarios such as rail transit vehicles, heavy trucks, mining engineering machinery, steel structure engineering, etc. that require long-term high load and high-frequency vibration, it is the preferred solution to replace ordinary bolts in the industrial heavy-duty field.
🛠️ Usage
Preparatory work
Drill a matching through-hole with a diameter of 6.5-6.6mm on the workpiece to be connected based on the nominal diameter of the rivet 6.4mm. Clean the burrs and debris in the hole, confirm that the workpiece is completely fitted without gaps, and then fix it in place.
Pre installed alignment
Insert the rivet rod into the through-hole from one side of the workpiece, and fit the matching locking ring onto the groove section where the rivet rod extends out of the workpiece, ensuring that the locking ring is completely attached to the surface of the workpiece and that the rivet rod is perpendicular to the end face of the workpiece.
Riveting operation
Select a specialized pneumatic/hydraulic ring groove rivet gun that is compatible with the 6.4mm specification, adjust it to the rated working pressure, align the gun head with the tail clamping section of the nail rod, and tighten the lock ring end face on the gun head before starting the tool. Under tension, the lock ring will undergo plastic deformation and be tightly embedded in the annular groove of the nail rod. When the tension reaches the set threshold, the nail rod will break neatly at the preset neck position, completing high-strength locking in one go.
Completion inspection
After riveting is completed, visually inspect that the locking ring is fully inserted into the nail groove without any looseness or displacement. Confirm that the riveting end face is flat and free of protrusions or deformations, and the entire connection operation can be completed. It can be directly put into heavy-duty use without additional reinforcement.
