Description
Product Introduction
This 1/4 inch high-strength interlocking round head all steel pop core rivet produced by VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL is an industrial grade fastening accessory that focuses on heavy-duty vibration resistance
Core parameters: The nominal diameter of the rivet is 6.4mm (corresponding to 1/4 inch), the length of the rivet body is 20mm, the overall material is made of all steel, equipped with a dedicated interlocking structure, the metal silver appearance, and the mechanical properties far exceed conventional aluminum steel combination rivets.
Structural advantages: The built-in high-strength interlocking structure can completely lock the nail core inside the rivet body after riveting, eliminating the problem of loosening and falling off of the nail core. It has excellent resistance to tension, shear and vibration; The round head large contact surface design ensures a more uniform distribution of force, and the appearance is neat after riveting. The all steel material is suitable for various high load and strong vibration harsh working conditions.
Applicable scenarios: Riveting operations can be completed from only one side of the workpiece, widely used in heavy-duty sheet metal assembly, engineering machinery component fixation, rail transit accessory installation, automotive chassis and body structural component connection, and other scenarios. It is particularly suitable for working conditions that require long-term dynamic load and high vibration, and is a heavy-duty fastening solution that balances ultra-high reliability and anti vibration performance.
🛠️ Usage
preliminary preparation
Drill a fitting through-hole with a diameter of approximately 6.5-6.6mm on the workpiece to be riveted based on the nominal diameter of the rivet of 6.4mm. Clean the burrs and residual debris in the hole, tightly fit and fix the workpiece to be connected, eliminate excess gaps between the workpieces, and confirm that the total stack thickness of the workpiece is suitable for the riveting stroke of this rivet.
Clamping and debugging
Choose a heavy-duty riveting gun that is compatible with 6.4mm high-strength rivets, replace the corresponding nozzle size, fully insert the rivet core into the nozzle of the riveting gun, and then pass the rivet body through the workpiece through-hole, keeping the rivet perpendicular to the workpiece surface and ensuring that the round head rivet head is flat and fits the workpiece surface.
Riveting operation
Start the rivet gun smoothly to pull the nail core, and the steel rivet body gradually expands under tension, forming a full locking head on the back of the workpiece; Continuously pulling the nail core, the interlocking structure will automatically lock the nail core, and the nail core will eventually break neatly at the preset neck position, completing the riveting operation.
Closing inspection
After riveting is completed, check whether the rivet head is flat, without deformation, and fully adheres to the surface of the workpiece. Confirm that the back of the rivet head is fully formed without looseness. Gently shake the workpiece to confirm that the connection is firm and there is no displacement. At the same time, confirm that the nail core is completely locked without any movement; When storing rivets for a long time, take moisture-proof measures to avoid rusting and affecting the strength of the rivets.
