Description

The specific and correct installation steps are as follows:
1、 Preparation before installation
Check the specifications of the buffer block, confirm that the selected size is fully compatible with the space and load-bearing requirements of the installation position, and prepare the corresponding specifications of bolts, torque wrenches, marking pens, sandpaper, and other tools.
Clean the metal base surface to be installed, thoroughly polish and remove oil stains, rust, welding slag, and protruding burrs on the surface, ensure that the flatness deviation of the installation base surface is controlled within 2 ‰, and avoid local overload damage caused by uneven stress on the buffer block.
2、 Pre installation of alignment
Attach the buffer block onto the cleaned installation surface, align the two reserved installation holes of the buffer block, and mark the bolt drilling position on the metal surface with a marker pen.
After drilling, clean up the metal debris inside the hole again, align and fit the buffer block again, confirm that the buffer block and the base surface are completely free of raised edges and gaps, and the overall placement is horizontal and not skewed.
3、 Locking and fixing
Insert the matching fastening bolts and tighten them in a diagonal step-by-step sequence to avoid local compression deformation of the buffer block caused by one side being locked first. Finally, control the bolt torque within the recommended range of 120 ± 5N · m to ensure that the buffer block and the base surface are fully adhered.
If it is installed in heavy-duty scenarios such as truck side protection and rear collision prevention, a small amount of sealant can be applied between the buffer block and the metal base surface in advance to further improve the fit and prevent water vapor from entering the contact surface and causing metal corrosion.
4、 Verification Closing
Manually push and pull the buffer block, confirm that there is no looseness or displacement, check the reserved buffer stroke on the compression surface of the buffer block, and ensure that there is no direct rigid hard contact when impacted.
Attempt to trigger a simulated impact and confirm that the buffer block can absorb the impact force through deformation without any abnormal noise. The installation is now complete. It is recommended to regularly check the surface of the buffer block for cracks and hardening during daily use, and replace aging components in a timely manner to ensure the protective effect.
