Description
Product Introduction
This HOLEMAKER gold series 18mm × 50mm high-speed steel circular drilling tool produced by VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL is an upgraded high-performance metal drilling tool:
Core parameters: The standard drilling diameter is 18mm, the maximum effective cutting depth is 50mm, and the overall structure is made of high-performance HSS high-speed steel. The cutting working section surface is treated with a golden TiN coating, which greatly improves the wear resistance compared to ordinary uncoated drilling. The cutting edge has stronger high-temperature resistance and the service life can be extended several times.
Performance characteristics: It adopts a sharp cutting edge structure with multiple spiral arrangements, and only cuts the annular edge of the hole. Compared with the traditional solid Fried Dough Twists drill, the cutting amount is significantly reduced, and the drilling efficiency can reach 8~10 times that of the ordinary drill. The hole wall drilled is smooth without burrs, and no secondary finishing is required. It is compatible with most magnetic drills, bench drills, milling machines and other equipment, and can easily complete drilling operations for various metal plates such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc. It is very suitable for medium depth and efficient drilling processing in steel structure assembly, rail transportation, mechanical and electrical installation and other scenarios.
🛠️ Usage
Preparation in advance
Mark the drilling points on the surface of the metal sheet to be processed in advance, firmly fix the workpiece to avoid displacement during operation, clean the rust, welding slag, and debris in the processing area, confirm that the cutting edge of the golden coating on the drill bit is not damaged or peeled off, and check that the supporting drilling rig is operating normally.
Installation and debugging
Fully install the standard Weldon handle of the drill bit into the drill chuck and lock it, and match it with the positioning pin. Confirm that the coaxiality of the drill bit is not offset, and adjust the drill speed according to the material of the processed plate: choose medium speed for processing ordinary carbon steel, and reduce the speed appropriately for processing hard metals such as stainless steel to avoid overheating and damaging the coating of the cutting edge.
Drilling operation
Align the drill bit with the marked point, keep the drill bit completely perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece, start the drilling rig smoothly, apply axial feed pressure evenly and slowly, and continuously introduce metal cutting coolant throughout the process. Prioritize using internal cooling to allow the coolant to reach the cutting edge, take away the high temperature generated by cutting, better protect the golden coating, and greatly extend the service life of the drill bit. If there is poor chip removal during the machining process, the drill bit can be briefly lifted to remove metal chips and avoid chip jamming and blade breakage.
Closing operation
After drilling is completed, stop the feed first and wait for the drill bit to completely exit the workpiece before shutting down the equipment. Clean the surface of the drill bit of chips and residual coolant, confirm that there is no abnormal wear on the coating and cutting edge, and store the drill bit in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture and rust affecting subsequent machining accuracy.
