Core parameters: Adopting the American made UNC coarse thread system, with a nominal diameter of 5/16 inches and 18 threads per inch of thread length, it belongs to the 5th grade high-strength specification. The overall structure is galvanized and rust resistant, with excellent anti-corrosion and rust resistance capabilities.
Structural characteristics: The end of the nut is embedded with a beige nylon locking ring, and the inner diameter of the nylon ring is slightly smaller than the thread diameter. When the bolt is screwed in, the nylon ring is squeezed and deformed. It relies on the radial rebound force generated by its own elasticity to laterally tighten the bolt thread, greatly improving the friction force at the thread engagement point and avoiding the problem of relative rotation and loosening of the thread pair under impact and vibration conditions from the root. Preparation in advance
Confirm that the bolts used for matching are 5/16 inch, 18 thread per inch UNC American coarse thread bolts. Clean the dust and oil stains on the bolt threads in advance to ensure that the threads are clean and free of debris. Check that the nylon ring of the nut is not damaged or detached, and that the threads are free of burrs or deformations.
Installation operation
Align the nut with the bolt thread, manually pre tighten it to the nylon ring position, and use a socket or wrench of the corresponding specification to evenly apply force and lock it, keeping the direction of force aligned with the screw axis until the nut is completely in contact with the workpiece contact surface. There is no need to overtighten to avoid excessive compression and deformation of the nylon ring, which may affect the long-term anti loosening effect.
Precautions
The nylon locking structure of this nut supports multiple disassembly and assembly, and can maintain reliable anti loosening performance even after being reused 3-5 times under normal working conditions. However, if obvious wear or cracking of the nylon ring is found, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner to avoid the failure of anti loosening performance; Do not mix with English/metric bolts of the same diameter but different thread counts, otherwise there may be problems such as thread misalignment, slipping, and even connection failure.
