This 5.2 × 19.1mm aluminum high-strength load dispersed lantern rivet (Bulb Tite Rivets) produced by VANGUARD INDUSTRIAL is a special structural sealed core pulling fastener designed specifically for high load and easily deformed workpieces:
Core parameters: The nominal diameter of the rivet is 5.2mm, the length of the rivet body is 19.1mm, and the overall material is high-strength aluminum alloy. The rivet head comes with a green sealing rubber ring, which can achieve waterproof sealing effect after riveting.
Structural advantages: During the riveting process, the rivet body will uniformly expand into a lantern shaped multi petal large support structure under tensile force, greatly dispersing the force on the back of the workpiece, avoiding the problems of thin plate depression and workpiece tearing caused by local stress concentration of ordinary rivets. preliminary preparation
Drill a fitting through-hole with a diameter of approximately 5.3-5.4mm on the workpiece to be riveted according to the nominal diameter of the rivet of 5.2mm. Clean the burrs and residual debris in the hole, tightly fit and fix the workpiece to be connected, eliminate all gaps between the workpieces, and ensure that the total stack thickness is suitable for the riveting stroke of the rivet.
Clamping and debugging
Select a high tension special riveting gun that is compatible with 5.2mm specification rivets, replace the corresponding size nozzle, fully insert the rivet core into the nozzle of the riveting gun, and then pass the rivet body part of the rivet through the workpiece through-hole, so that the sealing rubber ring at the head fully fits the surface of the workpiece, keeping the rivet perpendicular to the workpiece surface.
Riveting operation
Smoothly start the rivet gun to pull the rivet core, and the rivet body gradually and uniformly expands into a full lantern shaped structure under tension, forming a large contact surface support on the back of the workpiece. At the same time, the head rubber ring is uniformly compressed to fill the gap between the rivet head and the workpiece, achieving a sealing effect; When the tension reaches the set threshold, the nail core will break neatly at the preset neck position, completing the riveting operation.
Closing inspection
After riveting, check whether the sealing rubber ring at the rivet head is evenly compressed without displacement, confirm that the lantern shaped head on the back is fully formed without cracking, gently shake the workpiece to confirm that the connection is not loose, and test the sealing of the riveting position to confirm that there is no leakage; When storing rivets for a long time, take moisture-proof measures to avoid rusting of the aluminum alloy rivet body and affecting its riveting performance.
