preliminary preparation
Drill a fitting through-hole with a diameter of approximately 4.9-5.0mm on the workpiece to be riveted based on the nominal diameter of the rivet of 4.8mm. At the same time, machine a countersunk hole on the outer side of the workpiece that matches the countersunk angle, clean the burrs and residual debris in the hole, tightly fit and fix the workpiece to be connected, eliminate excess gaps between the workpieces, and confirm that the total stack thickness of the workpiece is within the effective riveting range of this rivet.
Clamping and debugging
Choose a riveting gun that is compatible with 4.8mm rivets, replace the corresponding size nozzle, fully insert the steel rivet core of the rivet into the nozzle of the riveting gun, and then pass the aluminum rivet body of the rivet through the workpiece through-hole, keeping the rivet perpendicular to the workpiece surface, and allowing the head of the countersunk rivet to fully embed into the pre processed countersunk hole.
Riveting operation
Start the rivet gun smoothly to pull the nail core, and the aluminum rivet body gradually expands under tension, forming a full locking head on the back of the workpiece; When the tension reaches the set threshold, the steel nail core will break neatly at the preset neck position, completing the riveting operation.
Closing inspection
After riveting, check whether the rivet head is completely sunk into the surface of the workpiece, flush with the workpiece surface without protrusions, confirm that the back head is fully formed without looseness, and gently shake the workpiece to confirm that the connection is firm without displacement; When storing rivets for a long time, take moisture-proof measures to avoid rusting and affecting the riveting performance.
