Pre-installation preparation
Clean the installation base surface on the side of the vehicle chassis, remove oil stains, rust, and protruding debris, confirm that the reserved installation holes on the chassis match the size of the bracket base, and prepare corresponding high-strength bolts, wrenches, level rulers, and other tools.
Check the integrity of the bracket accessories, confirm that the adjustable movable base and the aluminum alloy main pole with adjustment holes are not deformed or missing, and confirm in advance that the installation holes of the supporting side guardrail and the spacing between the adjustment holes of the bracket are compatible.
2、 Pre fixed base
Align the adjustable movable base at the top of the bracket with the preset installation point on the chassis, insert the fastening bolts, and only tighten them preliminarily without locking them. Leave enough angle and position adjustment margin to avoid subsequent calibration failure.
According to the national standard requirements, the reference line should be marked in advance to ensure that the lower edge of the side guardrail is not more than 55cm above the ground, the upper edge is not more than 35cm from the bottom of the carriage, and the distance between the front and rear ends of the protective structure and the outermost edge of the front and rear tires is not more than 30cm after subsequent installation.
3、 Position calibration and adjustment
Swing the aluminum alloy main pole, adjust the extension angle and overall height of the bracket according to the marked reference line, align the multi hole adjustment position of the pole body, and confirm that the connection holes between the bracket and the side guardrail are completely matched.
After the adjustment is completed, first fix the angle locking part of the base preliminarily, then thread the connecting bolts between the bracket and the side guardrail into the corresponding adjustment holes, tighten them, and use a level ruler to check the overall flatness, ensuring that the protective fence is parallel to the side of the vehicle body, without tilting or protruding too much from the vehicle body.
4、 Locking and completion verification
Completely lock all fixing bolts of the base, adjusting bolts of the support rod body, and connecting bolts of the support and protective fence in sequence, and all locking components must reach the specified tightening torque.
Manually push and pull the bracket and protective fence as a whole, confirm that there is no shaking or looseness, recheck that all installation spacing parameters fully comply with the relevant specifications of GB 7258, and confirm that they meet the compliance requirements for vehicle annual inspection and road use.
